Job summary

Lake Country Co-op in Shell Lake, Saskatchewan, is seeking a Yard Clerk for 24-39 hours per week at our Home Centre location.

The role focuses on delivering Legendary Service, loading/unloading yard merchandise, inventory counts, and assisting customers with carry-out and product assembly. A strong customer focus and flexibility to work weekends and evenings are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in home and building materials or construction strongly preferred.
• Ability to stand, crouch and lift up to 50 lbs; comfortable working outside and inside.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload merchandise and keep the yard clean and organized.
• Fill orders, receive freight, unload product, and perform inventory counts.
• Provide customer carry-out service and assist with product assembly as needed.
• Complete required paperwork according to department standards.
• Support Asset Protection and Safety Management policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Reporting to the Home Centre Team Leader, responsibilities for this position include the following:

• Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer focused approach.
• Provide Legendary Service at all touch points through various communication channels.
• Load and unload merchandise and maintain cleanliness and order of merchandise in the yard.
• Fill orders, receive freight, unload product, preform inventory counts.
• Perform customer carry-out service and product assembly as assigned.
• Complete required paperwork base on department standards.
• Support and follow Asset Protection and Safety Management systems, policies, and procedures.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Who You Are

You are looking for a career in Home & Building Products and Customer Service and meet the following:

• Experience in home and building materials, construction industry; Class 3 Drivers license is considered an asset.
• Honest and trustworthy, are results- oriented, and are proud of the work that you do.
• Well organized and capable of attaining a high level of production, with a minimum amount of supervision.
• Can fulfil physical job requirements, standing, crouching, bending, kneeling, lifting up to 50 lbs, working outside and inside.
• Willing and able to obtain forklift certification.
• Flexible work schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
