Job summary

Doidge Building Centres Ltd. is seeking a Yard Associate for Northumberland Building Materials Ltd division. You will support yard and warehouse operations, build loads for delivery, and deliver excellent customer service to retail, professional, and contractor customers.

Responsibilities

• Build strong and lasting relationships with our retail, professional, and contractor customers.
• Builds loads for delivery, loads orders into customer vehicles, assists with yard/warehouse maintenance.
• Provides accurate and timely deliveries in a proactive manner.
• Checks each load going out for accuracy at time of load building.
• Follows up to ensure completion of all tasks with effective communication.
• Assist in preventative maintenance programs.
• Ensures proper and safe handling and storage of inventory products to minimize any damage.
• Works with team members to complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Maintains Northumberland Building Material Ltd yard standards, commitment to service and initiatives.

Job description

Position Summary:

A Yard Associate is committed to achieving Doidge Builind Centres Ltd. service standards and maximizing sales and service while providing the customers with the best shopping experience possible. The Yard Associate will develop and maintain effective services and operations of the yard as designated by the Yard Supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities, but not limited to:

• Build strong and lasting relationships with our retail, professional, and contractor customers
• Builds loads for delivery, loads orders into customer vehicles, assists with maintenance of yard and warehouse
• Provides accurate and timely deliveries in a proactive manner
• Checks each load going out for accuracy at time of load building
• Follows up to ensure completion of all tasks with effective communication.
• Assist in preventative maintenance programs
• Ensures proper and safe handling and storage of inventory products to minimize any damage
• Works together with all team members to help get all tasks completed in a timely manner
• Maintains Northumberland Building Material Ltd yard standards, commitment to service and initiatives.
