Job description

Sunbelt Rentals – the fastest growing rental business in Canada – is seeking an Equipment Associate.

The Yard Associate / Class 3 Driver is responsible for stationing and retrieving equipment on the location's property. The role maintains a written maintenance schedule and services equipment as necessary to ensure it meets all set specifications. The Yard Associate / Class 3 also inspects equipment before and after rental to document any lost or damaged items. Our double-digit growth and internal promotion rate mean we are constantly looking to add top performers to our team.

Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver and pick up equipment as needed.
  2. Load and unload trucks safely.
  3. Be part of an on-call team.
  4. Service, repair, and rebuild equipment as necessary.
  5. Ensure equipment meets all specifications.
  6. Inspect equipment on returns, noting any lost or damaged items.
  7. Return equipment to the proper yard location (maintenance, damaged, rent-ready, etc.).
  8. Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
Education or experience that prepares you for success:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Valid Class 3 License with a clean record.
  • Experience with common construction and industrial tools preferred.
  • Experience and/or training in mechanical equipment repair preferred.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
  • Effective communication skills (written and oral).
  • Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • General mechanical aptitude.
  • Safety-focused mindset.

Base Pay Range: $20.31 - $27.92
