Job summary

Apple is seeking a Distributed Systems Engineer for Xcode Cloud to shape the future of Apple platform development. You will design and implement features and services that form the foundation of our service infrastructure and security.

You will build tools used by millions of developers worldwide to build, test, and ship software for iOS, macOS, tvOS and watchOS. Collaborate with the broader developer tools org to deliver cross-cutting features.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• Proficiency in strongly typed or functional programming languages (Kotlin/Scala/Java/Swift).
• Experience designing, developing, debugging, deploying and operating cloud-based software services.
• Understanding of design patterns for distributed, micro-service systems.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent
• 3+ years of relevant work experience
• Strongly typed or functional programming languages (such as: Kotlin, Scala, Java, Swift, etc)
• Designing, developing, debugging, deploying and operating cloud-based software services

Preferred Qualifications

• Drafting project proposals and design documents to facilitate communication with the team and stake-holders
• Understanding of design patterns for distributed, micro-service systems
