Job summary

EFW Radiology in Alberta is looking for an X-Ray Technologist Student to join a supportive, patient-focused team as you near graduation. The role involves performing X-ray, fluoroscopy and potentially Mammography exams in a fast-paced environment while delivering excellent patient care and learning opportunities.

Reporting to the X-Ray/Mammography Supervisor, you will operate imaging equipment, verify patient history, ensure safety, and maintain high-quality images.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate from a recognized Medical Radiation Technology program.
• Ability to obtain CAMRT/ACMDTT registration and Alberta license to practice.
• Ability to consistently produce excellent radiographic images.
• Strong judgment and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional time management and multitasking abilities.
• Effective communication and compassionate patient care.
• Proficiency in RIS software and related technologies.

Responsibilities

• Operates radiologic imaging equipment to produce high quality diagnostic images.
• Verifies patient history and relevant information prior to exam.
• Communicates with patients to explain procedures and observe safety and comfort.
• Assesses and evaluates X-ray, fluoroscopic or mammographic images for diagnostic quality.
• Ensures radiation safety measures and protection devices are used in accordance with regulations.
• Adheres to privacy policies and EFW values.
• Undertakes additional duties as assigned.
