Job description

In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority, patient safety is a priority and a shared responsibility. Continuous quality and safety improvement are integral to this role.

Reporting to the Supervisor or designate, the X-ray Combined Technologist works in a computerized environment, producing diagnostic radiographs as assigned. The role involves carrying out diagnostic procedures independently or collaboratively with radiologists or physicians, applying radiation safety principles to protect patients, staff, and the public, and completing necessary documentation and administrative tasks.

Qualifications: Education, Training, and Experience

Graduation from a recognized combined Laboratory and X-ray Technology Program, with at least one (1) year of recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
