Job Description

In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority, patient safety is a priority and a shared responsibility; continuous quality and safety improvements are inherent in this role.

Reporting to the Supervisor or designate, the X-ray Combined Technologist works in a computerized environment, producing diagnostic radiographs as assigned, and carrying out diagnostic procedures either independently or with a radiologist or other physician. The role involves applying radiation safety principles to protect patients, staff, and the public, and completing documentation and administrative tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Training And Experience

Graduation from a recognized combined Laboratory and X-ray Technology Program, and one (1) year recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
