Description and Requirements

The OEM Business Manager will report directly to the WW OEM COO and drive the overall financial planning, budget, metrics, measurements, and business controls of Lenovo’s global OEM business. The Business Manager role will require proactive engagement with WW and GEO finance teams as well as the Sales Operations and Incentive & Commissions teams in each GEO. In addition, since the OEM budget funds resources in many other functions, the business manager will be responsible for managing the overall headcount budget for all funded resources and be a key approval and control point for other non-org expenditures. The Business Manager will also be responsible for expense forecasting, consolidation of financial scorecards, and running the overall BMS for the OEM business. During the strategic planning cycle, the OEM Business Manager will be responsible for driving all interlocks between GEOs, Product BUs, Finance, and all operational functions.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop detailed OEM financial plan (revenue, expense, margin) through annual STAMP plan process
• Manage detailed expense plan and evaluate/approve all OEM expense requests
• Collaborate with finance to develop OEM targets & track monthly reporting of OEM financial metrics
• Provide direction on financial treatment of OEM portfolio capabilities and OEM customization projects
• Set WW direction and manage ongoing OEM metrics & BMS across all functions & GEOs
• Drive OEM tools/processes to enable business analysis in multiple dimensions (geo, brand, customer)
• Build the processes and business controls needed for executing new capabilities

The successful candidate must have strong financial, analytical, and business process management skills, and must be able to successfully lead multiple operational activities and projects in a global matrixed team. The Business Manager candidate must have the ability to oversee all business metrics, have the instincts to anticipate issues, and take proactive measures to resolve issues before they become business problems. This candidate must be a strong leader with a proven track record of leading matrixed teams in a rapidly growing business.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree or greater in a financial discipline
• 10+ years of experience leading financial and/or operational teams and processes
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and budget management
• Exemplary leadership skills with strong business process and project management skills
• Past experience working with global teams

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Power BI and the ability to build automated dashboards is a plus for this role.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills in an autonomous, leadership capacity
• High degree of creativity in finding new ways to execute and improve effectiveness
• High energy spirit of entrepreneurship, teamwork, and collaboration
