Job summary

MNP LLP in Calgary seeks a Written Communications Specialist within its Creative Marketing team to craft content from concept to production, shaping the firm’s voice and message across channels.

You will write and edit thought leadership, web and sales materials, collaborate with strategists, designers, and subject matter experts, and ensure SEO-ready content aligned with brand standards and industry guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Creative Writing or Journalism.
• 3–5 years of written communication experience.
• Strong understanding of journalistic best practices and marketing principles.
• Experience developing SEO and thought leadership content.
• Experience using generative AI as a writing companion.
• MS Office Suite proficiency.
• Professional services or agency experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and adapt written communications for thought leadership, web, advertising, sales collateral, video, and social media
• Protect and contribute to a consistent voice for the Firm, ensuring all communications adhere to MNP’s brand standards
• Collaborate with writers, strategists, designers, and digital marketing specialists, and subject matter experts to provide value-added insight on messaging and creative strategy
• Conduct interviews and research to ensure content is accurate and current
• Work closely with digital marketing to build search-optimized content (SEO)
• Maintain awareness of the Canadian Press Style and Institute of Chartered Accountants of Canada standards and stipulations for rules in advertising
• Maintain competitive industry knowledge
• Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes
