Job summary

Gardewine in Winnipeg is seeking a Class 1 Long Haul Flat Deck Company Driver to handle deliveries and pickups on Super B trailers. The role demands high physical effort, including tarping, chaining, strapping, and heavy pushing/pulling, with integrity and safety as priorities.

The right candidate will have a valid Class 1/AZ license, 2 years highway experience or flat deck experience, and the ability to be out 7–10 days.

Qualifications

• 2 years highway experience would be an asset.
• Must have a valid Class 1/AZ license in good standing.
• Experience with all types of pickup and delivery activities.
• Ability to work independently and maintain a professional mindset.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate Super B flat deck trailers for deliveries and pickups.
• Complete required paperwork and perform tarping, chaining, strapping, and safety tasks.

Class 1 Long Haul Flat Deck – Company Drivers (Winnipeg M.B.)

The Job

The Flat Deck Driver is responsible for completing all types of various freight deliveries and pickups on super b trailers. This position requires a high physical ability due to the intensive labor tasks such as tarping; chaining; strapping; pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs of force; and cranking trailer dollies. As well as completing all paperwork as required for this position.

The Owner Operator / Company Qualifications Needed

• 2 Years Highway experience would be an asset
• Prior Flat deck experience would be an asset
• Super B trailer moves would be an asset
• Must be able to drive manual and auto tractor
• Must be willing to be out 7 to 10 days’
• Valid Class 1/AZ Drivers license in good standing
• Experience with all types of pickup and delivery activities
• Good customer service skills to build lasting relationships

• A 2016 or newer for Owner Operator’s only
