The Wound and Ostomy Nurse is a registered nurse who participates in interdisciplinary activities to facilitate care for patients with abdominal stomas, wounds, fistulas, drains, pressure ulcers, and incontinence. The nurse applies nursing processes, theories, and principles of psycho-social and physical sciences to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, evaluate, and modify patient care. The role emphasizes quality outcomes and innovative practice in accordance with the California Nursing Practice Act and hospital policies. The nurse is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered and for care that aligns with the ANA Code of Ethics and the ANA Bill of Rights for Nursing.
$89.43 - $116.79 USD per hour
Requires standing most of the shift, with the ability to lift up to 35 lbs. frequently. Involves sitting, kneeling, climbing, and squatting. Details available on Physical Requirements - United States of America.
