Job summary

First United Church invites applications for a Music Director to lead our worship music ministry. This 12-month contract is renewable annually and requires eight hours per week, including all listed duties, with a start date anticipated January 1, 2027.

You will direct the choir, select meaningful music and anthems, collaborate with the Minister and Worship Leaders, recruit participants, coordinate musicians, and oversee instruments and resources to support vibrant worship.

Qualifications

• Experience in choral conducting and music leadership.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a faith community.
• Knowledge of church music is an asset.
• Availability for Sunday services and rehearsals.

Responsibilities

• Lead the choir in worship services and rehearsals.
