Position Type: Permanent: 20 – 25 hours per week

Role Summary:
The Worship Coordinator at Granville Chapel plays a vital role in facilitating vibrant, meaningful, Christ-centered worship by leading and supporting our worship ministry teams., The role encompasses coordinating worship, managing worship teams and overseeing sound and media systems. This position requires a deep and growing personal faith in Jesus Christ, demonstrated through consistent spiritual practices and a genuine commitment to serving the
church community.

Core Responsibilities:
● Lead worship approximately 50% of Sunday services
● Coordinate all elements of Sunday gatherings (worship, sound, media, prayer ministry,
host/speaker roles)
● Manage scheduling of teams using Planning Center Services
● Recruit, train, and support volunteers in worship.
● Foster community and collaboration among worship leaders
● Ensure worship reflects the congregation’s diversity and is accessible to all
● Collaborate with the Granville Chapel staff team on shared responsibilities

Additional Media-related Responsibilities:
● Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as needed
● Oversee media setup and presentation using ProPresenter
● Recruit, train, and support volunteers in sound and media ministries
● Prepare and coordinate sound / media for memorial services / celebrations of life

Requirements:
● Pastoral heart and openness to full-time ministry an asset (can be exploring)
● Musically proficient both vocally and instrumentally, and experienced in leading
contemporary praise and worship music for large groups
● Excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to come alongside diverse teams of volunteers
● Proficient at using the Planning Centre platform
● Organized and detail-oriented
● Strong verbal and written communication skills

Additional:
● Technologically proficient – experience with complex A/V setup, ProPresenter and the Behringer x-32 soundboard is an asset.
