Job summary

  • Support the Workshop Supervisor in preparing vehicles for PEC activities.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure vehicles are in optimal condition.
  • Manage parts inventory with the Workshop Supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate service records for fleet vehicles.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards.
  • Operate both standard and automatic vehicles as required.
  • Follow workshop policies to maintain quality standards.
  • Operate both standard and automatic vehicles as required for testing and transport.
  • Follow workshop policies and procedures to maintain Porsche’s high-quality standards.
  • Maintain and organize tools, equipment, and materials in the workshop to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with the Workshop Supervisor and other team members regarding vehicle statuses and repairs.

Job description

Sport Driving Canada is currently seeking full-time and part-time Workshop Technicians to join our client’s team at the Porsche Experience Centre Toronto (PEC). Position Objective

The Workshop Technician will assist in basic maintenance and servicing of the Porsche Experience Centre (PEC) vehicle fleet. This includes tasks such as brakes, tire rotations, alignments, and ensuring vehicles are clean and presentable. The role focuses on supporting the Workshop Supervisor and ensuring vehicles are ready for PEC activities.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance tasks on the PEC vehicle fleet, such as brakes, tire rotations, alignments, and cleaning vehicles.
  • Support the Workshop Supervisor in preparing vehicles for PEC activities.
  • Conduct inspections and pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) to ensure vehicles are in optimal condition for track and display purposes.
  • Collaborate with the Workshop Supervisor to manage parts inventory, including ordering and returning parts as required.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate service records for all fleet vehicles.
  • Assist in preparing vehicles for PEC activities, including track events and customer experiences.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards in the workshop.
  • Support warranty repairs, recalls, and service campaigns as directed by the Workshop Supervisor.
  • Operate both standard and automatic vehicles as required for testing and transport.
  • Follow workshop policies and procedures to maintain Porsche’s high-quality standards.
  • Maintain and organize tools, equipment, and materials in the workshop to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with the Workshop Supervisor and other team members regarding vehicle statuses and repairs.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business / Engineering or Technical School Degree preferred, or equivalent.

Experience (Job and Industry):

  • 3+ years of experience as an automotive technician, preferably in luxury or performance vehicles.
  • Familiarity with Porsche vehicles or experience in a dealership/service center environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of workshop processes and diagnostic tools.
