As a WSH Coordinator, you will work closely with the Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) to manage and enhance the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) standards. Your primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Develop, implement, and maintain WSH plans and programs to ensure continuous improvement in WSH performance and compliance with contractual requirements
- Ensure compliance with the WSH Act, other relevant legislation, and contractual WSH requirements to guarantee the safety of all personnel.
- Conduct regular safety inspections to ensure work activities adhere to WSH standards.
- Organise and participate in WSH education programs such as training sessions, talks, and other activities aimed at fostering a safe and healthy working environment.
- Identify unsafe work practices or conditions and recommend appropriate control measures.
- Liaise and communicate with contractors regarding WSH matters, ensuring clear and effective communication.
- Participate and assist in internal and external WSH related audits.
- Follow up on all outstanding safety-related issues to ensure timely resolution.
- Undertake any ad-hoc tasks assigned by the supervisor to enhance WSH performance.
Job Requirements
- Advance Certificate in WSH (Level B) and other relevant Safety & Health Certificates
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with contractors and internal teams
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in similar role
- Strong knowledge and compliance of the WSH Act and other relevant legislation
- Proficiency in Microsoft (Words, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Good communication (written, spoken & presentation), interpersonal and relationship management skills
