Reporting to the Program Manager, the Workload Support Officer is responsible for the coordination of the workload planning process of all resources, their allocation and availability in the Nursing Department, in matters of people, budgeting, purchasing, room booking, scheduling/timetable, contracts, absence reporting and coverage associated with orientation and assistance to new employees, including protocols, policies & processes.
This includes preliminary timetable planning, full and part-time employment contracts for Support Staff employee groups and the processing of any additional payment forms for support staff, to ensure employees are paid on the stated dates at the departmental level and liaise with Human Resources and Payroll. This position consolidates these functions for the clinical and lab operational areas in the Nursing Department.
The incumbent will compile and analyse reports related to workload performance, efficiencies (SCH; block assignments and course groupings) and will work with the Program Manager and Associate Dean.
This position will integrate work processes with the program Coordinators of the Nursing Department – for lab and clinical course assignment suggestions and to ascertain all delivery mode and associated lab needs to all deadlines. The incumbent works as a team within this framework and is expected to provide suggestions to improve and streamline processes.
The incumbent will assess needs, determine appropriate document inclusions, update continually to direct information management and associated documents in the ‘Teams’ folder suitable to all shareholders.
The incumbent will inform scheduling of the decisions on assignment of courses by the Program Manager and Associate Dean.

Planning and coordinating workload planning and timetabling information for the Nursing Department:
Providing coordination of support staff workload planning, including the planning and production of part-time contracts and monitoring of the impact on budgets as a result of workload creation with specifics such as:
Tracking support staff professional development funding applications, conference forms and follow-up reports.
Providing orientation and assistance to new hires:
