A healthcare institution in Nova Scotia is seeking a Workforce Planning Lead to oversee electronic rostering and staffing efficiency. The Workforce Planning Lead will provide strategic and operational leadership for workforce deployment across the hospital, with a specific focus on electronic rostering and temporary staffing. This is a key role in driving the hospital's approach to establishment control, cost-efficient staffing, and safe service delivery.
The Workforce Planning Lead will drive improvement in roster quality, workforce data reporting, and flexible staffing controls, ensuring all staffing activity is aligned with operational demand and financial targets. Through expert guidance, system leadership, and performance insight, the post-holder will shape how the hospital plans, delivers, and reviews its workforce in a more sustainable and strategic way. In addition, the role includes leading the training and upskilling of roster leads in each department, ensuring consistency and capability in rostering practices across the organisation.

The Role: We are looking for a forward-thinking Workforce Planning Lead to transform how we manage e-rostering and temporary staffing across the hospital. You will lead the optimisation of the HealthRoster system, working with managers, HR and Finance to ensure staffing is efficient, sustainable and aligned to demand. This is a chance to make a real impact by improving roster quality, providing powerful workforce insights, and embedding stronger controls on flexible staffing. You will also build capability across the organisation by training and upskilling roster leads, creating a consistent and modern approach to workforce planning.
Salary is up to £75,000 per annum, depending on how closely your experience matches our requirements. This role is hybrid, with a minimum of three days onsite each week, which is not negotiable.
