Our client in the professional services sector is seeking a contract based Workday / IAM Implementation Consultant to help their end client's Workday implementation focused on onboarding and offboarding workflows .

The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of Workday HCM , identity and access management (IAM) tools / processes, and Power Platform capabilities (Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse).

Duration : 6 months

Location : mainly remote, occasional client visit in Toronto

Responsibilities :

• Lead the analysis, design, and implementation of onboarding and offboarding processes integrated with Workday and IAM platforms.
• Collaborate with HR, IT, and Security stakeholders to define business and technical requirements for user lifecycle management.
• Integrate Workday HCM with IAM systems (e.g., Azure AD) to streamline account provisioning / de-provisioning.
• Configure workflows for access requests, approvals, and role-based access assignments.
• Ensure compliance with internal access policies, privacy regulations, and audit requirements.
• Document processes, configurations, and architectural diagrams.
• Support testing, deployment, and post-implementation troubleshooting.

Requirements :

5+ years of experience in IT or HRIS projects with a focus on Workday and IAM systems.

Strong understanding of user lifecycle management, role-based access control (RBAC), and identity provisioning best practices.

Experience with Microsoft Power Platform – especially Power Automate for building automated workflows.

Familiarity with Workday Core HCM, Business Processes, and integrations (EIB, Workday Studio is a plus).

Experience integrating with IAM tools such as Azure AD, SailPoint, or Okta.

Proven ability to design cross-functional workflows across HR and IT teams.

Excellent documentation, stakeholder communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

Microsoft Power Platform certifications (PL-200, PL-400)

Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., finance, healthcare, public sector)

Familiarity with ServiceNow, Active Directory, or M365 automation
