Job summary

BDO is seeking a Senior Consultant to lead Workday implementations within our Canadian practice. You will guide cross-functional teams, advise clients on design decisions, and ensure successful delivery from discovery through go-live and beyond.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, manage design workshops, and translate complex requirements into scalable Workday configurations, while coaching junior consultants.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience delivering enterprise technology or HCM transformations.
  • Active Workday certification in HCM Core, Time Tracking, Absence, or related areas.

Responsibilities

  • Lead functional workstreams on Workday implementation projects from discovery to post-go-live support.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable Workday configurations and document decisions.

You will combine Workday functional expertise with strong consulting, client advisory, and delivery capabilities to help clients achieve measurable outcomes throughout their digital transformation journeys.You will collaborate with cross-functional technology, data, integration, and change team members to design and deploy scalable Workday solutions aligned with client business objectives. As a trusted advisor, you will guide stakeholders through decisions, communicate trade-offs, and help deliver practical, integrated solutions that create lasting value. This is a new role and offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement.Key Responsibilities:Lead functional workstreams on Workday implementation projects, owning full lifecycle delivery from discovery and design through configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live supportBuild trusted relationships with client leaders and serve as a senior functional advisor, bringing structured recommendations, leading practices, and a clear point of viewPlan and facilitate complex design workshops with senior stakeholders to elicit and prioritize requirements, challenge current-state processes, align stakeholders, and drive timely decisionsTranslate business requirements and process designs into scalable Workday configurations, documenting design decisions, assumptions, and impactsManage workstream scope, priorities, deliverables, timelines, risks, issues, and dependencies;
