The Workday Functional Solution Architect will serve as the strategic lead and subject matter expert for Workday system design, configuration, and optimization. This individual will partner with HR, Finance, and IT stakeholders to architect scalable Workday solutions that align with the company’s business processes and goals. The ideal candidate blends deep Workday expertise with business acumen and collaboration skills to drive innovation and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of Workday functional modules such as Core HCM , Talent and Absence management and Security.
  • Provide thought leadership on Workday capabilities and architectural strategy to meet evolving business needs
  • Translate business requirements into scalable and sustainable Workday configurations and workflows
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvements and automation opportunities
  • Oversee system testing, data integrity validation, and change management activities
  • Ensure Workday configurations follow governance, security, and compliance best practices
  • Serve as escalation point for Workday functional issues and enhancements
  • Coach and mentor junior Workday analysts and support resources

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in HRIS or ERP systems , with at least 5 years focused on Workday
  • Strong hands-on experience with Workday modules such as Core HCM , Recruiting , Talent Management, Absence or Security.
  • Deep knowledge of Workday business processes, integrations, and reporting tools
  • Proven ability to lead end-to-end implementations and cross-functional solutioning
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills; ability to simplify complex problems
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems , Business Administration , or related field
  • Workday certifications in relevant modules are highly preferred
