Job summary

Recruiting In Motion - Eastern Ontario is seeking a Finance Analyst to join the finance team. The role is 3 days a week in the office in the GTA, supporting Workday Financials and finance operations.

You will assist monthly close, participate in system enhancements, and help improve workflows while maintaining data governance and accurate financial information.

Qualifications

• University degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 1–3 years of experience in accounting or financial accounting systems.
• Intermediate Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing functional support for Workday Financials and support day-to-day finance operations.
• Assist monthly close cycle by monitoring system activity and coordinating resolutions.
• Contribute to Workday release testing, documentation updates and training resources.
• Manage and maintain financial master data including organizational structures and reporting lines.
• Review and validate financial data in Workday, investigating discrepancies and exceptions.

Our client is a growing and collaborative organization seeking a Finance Analyst to join their finance team. This role is 3 days a week in the office in the GTA.

Description

Provide ongoing functional support for Workday Financials, helping maintain financial processes, configurations, and core system data to support day-to-day finance operations

Assist finance teams throughout the monthly close cycle by monitoring system activity, coordinating resolutions, and addressing issues to help ensure timely and accurate reporting

Contribute to system enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives by participating in workday release testing, updating documentation, training resources, and identifying opportunities to improve finance workflows

Manage and maintain financial master data, including organizational and reporting structures, while following established data governance and control procedures

Review and validate financial data within Workday, investigating discrepancies, system errors, and exceptions to help maintain accurate and reliable financial information

Qualifications

• University degree in Accounting or Finance
• 1-3 years of experience in accounting or financial accounting systems
• Intermediate Excel Skills
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
