Title: WI Process Administrator (Contract 1 year)

Reports to: WI Team Leader

Location: 24 Napoleon Road, Barrie

Job Purpose: Provide comprehensive support to the company in the development, creation, and ongoing maintenance of Assembly Work Instructions. This includes collaborating cross-functionally to ensure that all documentation accurately reflects the requirements of new product launches as well as modifications to existing products, thereby promoting operational efficiency, product quality, and compliance with engineering and manufacturing standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and revise production work instructions and supplementary documents with the most current information in accordance with Stage Gate and Engineering Change Notice procedures.
  • Develop and produce clear, visually-supported work instructions and supplementary documents using Excel and high-resolution photographs, ensuring effective communication of procedures through both print and digital media as appropriate.
  • Capture high-quality, detailed photographs of assembly processes and components to be incorporated into Work Instructions, ensuring visual clarity and accuracy to aid in technician understanding and adherence to proper assembly procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with teams across Engineering, R&D, Operations, and Quality to create effective materials and establish best practices for digital content development, actively contributing to the improvement of Work Instruction (WI) team processes and standards.
  • Create and maintain schedule, ensuring timelines are followed as per Stage Gate or Engineering Change Notice procedures.
  • Work with assemblers to document products/processes for accurate and structured production work instructions.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned, contributing to the achievement of overall organizational standards, goals, and continuous improvement efforts.
Education And Experience
  • High School required. Post-Secondary education is an asset.
  • 2+ years' relevant experience in a related industry. Product knowledge an asset.
Specialized Skills
  • Possess a valid Class G driver’s license with the ability to provide a clear driver’s abstract upon request.
  • Intermediate level skills with Microsoft Office 365 Suite: Outlook, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat
  • Familiarity with 3D CAD software is an asset
  • Must be a team player and strategic thinker
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Computer Literacy, Mechanical Aptitude, Creativity, Design Aptitude
  • Highly self-motivated and hands-on, comfortable working on the plant floor and in warehouse areas
