Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients in completing their tax returns using TurboImpôt, providing guidance and reviewing their submissions.
  • Use government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to find accurate answers and communicate them clearly to clients.
  • Manage inquiries about products and software, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Document interactions and maintain accurate records of client engagements.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years paid professional tax preparation experience.
  • Ability to provide CRA RepID and use the Représenter un client service.
  • Experience with complex personal tax returns, including employment, self-employment, rental income, investments, foreign income, and credits/deductions.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact professionally via video and audio tools.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule of at least 20 hours per week.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience preparing Business (T2) and Quebec (TP1) tax returns.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Understanding of tax laws and concepts, with a proactive approach to learning and adapting to changes.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with active listening skills.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues, escalating when necessary.
  • Curiosity and commitment to continuous learning, resourcefulness in seeking solutions.
  • Basic technical troubleshooting skills and familiarity with necessary tools.
