Responsibilities:

• In this role, you will help our customers complete their taxes using Intuit TurboTax products.
• You will provide tax guidance and review personal tax returns for customers preparing their own taxes, including full-service return preparation and managing inquiries related to products/software.
• You will utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to find and deliver accurate answers in understandable terms.
• This is a virtual, customer-facing role, requiring the use of advanced video communication software to interact with clients and document interactions for accurate record-keeping.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2+ years of paid professional tax preparation experience.
• Ability to provide your CRA RepID for client representation services upon onboarding.
• Experience with professional tax software for preparing and filing complex personal tax returns (employment, self-employment, rental income, investments, foreign income, credits, deductions).
• Passion for helping clients navigate tax complexities and a commitment to enhancing customer satisfaction.
• Excellent customer service skills and confidence in using video and audio communication tools.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule with at least 20 hours per week.

Additional Asset Qualifications:

• Experience preparing Corporate (T2) and Quebec (TP1) tax returns.

• Fundamental understanding of tax laws and concepts, with a proactive approach to ongoing learning.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with active listening and empathy.
• Ability to understand customer problems, leverage tools, and escalate issues when necessary.
• Curiosity and interest in continuous learning, with resourcefulness in finding solutions.
• Basic technical troubleshooting skills and interest in learning new tools.

Intuit offers a competitive compensation package, including base pay ranging from $24.50 to $33.50 per hour depending on the region, with potential bonuses, equity rewards, and benefits. Pay is based on experience, skills, and location. We ensure ongoing pay equity through regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender.
