Job description

The Edmonton Police Service is seeking an Intelligence and Investigative Support Clerk with strong organizational and interpersonal skills to assist the Field Intelligence Officer (FIO) and members of Patrol, Crime Suppression, and Investigative Response (IRT) Branches. Reporting to the Administrative Staff Sergeant, this role involves:

  1. Supporting the Branch FIO in daily tasks, including creating EPSNet Bulletins.
  2. Updating the Offender Tracking spreadsheet with court dates, conditions, warrants, and MO information.
  3. Generating dashboard and patrol management reports for leadership and operational teams.
  4. Liaising with Crime Management analysts and CSID teams, attending weekly meetings.
  5. Maintaining spreadsheets, logs, dashboards, and collecting crime trend data.
  6. Compiling and distributing statistical reports to aid in investigations and profiling.
  7. Assisting investigative teams with product creation, data organization, and preservation.
  8. Converting documents into electronic formats for database entry.
Qualifications
  • Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent, with business-related training or certification, and basic computer skills.
  • At least two years of experience in word processing and information management.
  • Strong team player with customer service experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Visio.
  • Knowledge of NICHEUA and database maintenance.
  • Experience in preparing performance reports; testing may be required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Enhanced Security Clearance, with ongoing re-clearances as required.
Additional Details

Hours of Work: 33.75 hours/week, Monday to Friday

Salary Range: $25.172 - $31.257/hour, with annual salary approximately $44,347 - $55,067, in accordance with union agreements.
