Oakley Woods Croquet is looking for a Full Time Woodworker/ Shop Assistant in Brighton, Ontario. The successful candidate will be engaged in the manufacturing and assembly of products using woodworking machinery and various power tools in a safe and efficient manner. This is a permanent position requiring attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Experience in woodworking or material fabrication preferred.
• Must be reliable, punctual, with a strong work ethic.
• Comfortable working in loud and dusty environments.

Oakley Woods Croquet is seeking a Full Time Woodworker/ Shop Assistant to join their team

Job Duties:

• Manufacturing and assembly of wood, metal, and plastic products
• Drilling, sanding, and cutting wood to specifications using various power tools and equipment
• Working with table saws, drill press, sanders, CNC router, power tools and finishing equipment
• Maintaining a clean and safe workspace
• Reading, understanding, and following written and verbal directions

Qualifications:

• Experience in woodworking or material fabrication preferred
• Ability to follow written & verbal directions
• Must take pride in their work and pay close attention to detail
• Work both independently and in a team environment
• Work without supervision while maintaining safety, quality and speed
• Some heavy lifting required (up to 50 lbs)
• Must be reliable, punctual, with a strong work ethic
• Comfortable working with woodworking machinery and computers
• Able to work in loud and dusty environments with protections provided

Additional Information:

• Position is permanent full-time, Monday – Friday 40 hours per week
• Wages: $20-$25 per hour, depending on experience
• Must have reliable transportation
