POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for a Wood Shop Technician to join our team! As a vital member of the production team, the Wood Shop Technician is responsible cutting and preparing materials for sign production and also manufacturing in-house wood barricades and products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cut and prepare wood, metal, and various materials and substrates
  • Assemble and paint various fabricated products such as wood barricades
  • Operation of equipment and tools such as band saws, drills, etc.
  • Assist in quality control of all production
  • Maintain accurate stock and materials records
  • Perform general labour in the production department and other areas
  • Other tasks as needed / required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Dependability and reliability
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
  • Ability to follow verbal and written plans / specifications
  • Experience with power tools, band saws, drill presses, etc.
  • General working knowledge of computers, spreadsheets, google docs
  • Ability to balance quality, speed, and attention to detail

HOURS OF WORK

The typical work schedule will be Monday through Friday 8 : 00am – 4 : 30pm with a 30-minute lunch break. Additional hours and overtime may be required during the busy season.
