Job summary

Tolko Industries Ltd is seeking a Woodlands Supervisor in the Southern Interior Woodlands Division of British Columbia. The role oversees field personnel and partnerships while ensuring safety, environmental stewardship, production and cost control.

This position requires fieldwork and travel within the southern interior communities. The successful candidate will typically hold a university degree or technical forestry diploma, have 5+ years of relevant experience, and be eligible for ABCFP

Qualifications

• 5+ years related industry experience.
• Experience in harvesting or roads; timber development and permitting; silviculture; First Nations collaboration and partnerships.
• Proven commitment to safety.
• Strong time management and communication skills.
• Ability to perform fieldwork.
• University Degree or Technical Diploma in Forestry.
• Eligible for registration with the ABCFP.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and oversee field personnel while maintaining safety standards.
• Interact with various teams and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Support Tolko’s objectives for safety, environment, production, cost and quality.
• Perform work both in office and in the field.
• Travel periodically across the southern interior of British Columbia to Kelowna, Vernon and Kamloops.

We’re looking for a Woodlands Supervisor for our Southern Interior Woodlands Division. The Southern Interior Woodlands Team manages Tolko's tenure and fibre supply in the Southern Interior of British Columbia, covering an area of 953,447 hectares. We are dedicated to sustaining these areas to the benefit of all who live and work there.

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

• 5+ years related industry experience.
• Experience in one or more of:
• Harvesting or Roads
• Timber Development and Permitting
• Silviculture
• First Nations Collaboration and Partnerships
• A provencommitment to safety.
• Strongtime management and communication skills.
• Ability to performfieldwork.
• AUniversity Degreeor Technical Diploma in Forestry.
