Job summary

A healthcare services company is seeking a Patient Service Associate in Alberta. The candidate will assist in various patient-facing duties, ensure service excellence, and handle monetary transactions. A background in customer service and preferably some healthcare experience is essential. This role is full-time with a monthly salary of $2,200.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years of customer service experience.
  • Prefer experience in a Specialist Outpatient Clinic or related healthcare.
  • Ability to anticipate patients’ needs and expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in Go-Live Preparation and site setup.
  • Perform counter duties regarding medical records and admissions.
  • Manage patient feedback and provide concierge service.

(Woodlands South) Patient Service Associate | Walking distance from MRT (Convertible to PERM)

Location: Woodlands South

Salary: $2,200/month

Contract Duration: 1 Year (Convertible to PERM)

Working Hours:
• Monday – Friday: 08:30am to 05:30pm
• Saturday: 08:30am to 12:30pm

Job Scope:

  • Assist Executive in Go-Live Preparation activities such as updating work instructions and participating in site setup and full dress rehearsals.
  • Perform counter duties such as application of medical records, registration of elective admissions, general admission queries, referrals to Medical Social Services, etc.
  • Manage patient / Next of Kin’s feedback and enquiries.
  • Provide information and concierge service.
  • Ensure all information is kept confidential and comply with work policies, procedures and internal controls.
  • Reconcile daily monetary transactions.
  • Lead quality improvement projects and initiatives.
  • Promote use of automated or self-help services.
  • Perform any ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Possess at least O levels with minimum 1 to 2 years of customer service experience.
  • Preferably with Specialist Outpatient Clinic or related healthcare experience.
  • Comfortable with using mobile apps, web services and other communication technology.
  • Commit to exceeding both internal and external customers’ needs; proactively identify customer needs and sustain a culture of service excellence within the organization.
  • Anticipate patients’ needs and expectations, and elicit feedback from customers to improve service.
  • Able to withstand long hours of standing/walking.
