Located in Nackawic, New Brunswick, our prehydrolysis kraft pulp mill finds itself in a picturesque area of the Saint John River Valley, a short drive between Fredericton and Woodstock. AV Group is currently recruiting for an Operations Supervisor – Woodlands Division – Based out of our Nackawic, NB location.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Operations Superintendent, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing and providing leadership and coaching to AV Group’s Field Operations.

Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to:

1. Coordinating and managing harvesting, road building, and transportation contractors, ensuring all health, safety, and environmental regulations are met and exceeded;
2. Coaching contractors to ensure production, delivery, and quality targets are consistently met and deliveries are on time and on budget;
3. Providing the leadership required to foster an environment of continuous improvement across the operation;
4. Promoting and supporting all safety and environmental initiatives when performing roles and responsibilities;
5. Possessing excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills;
6. Being an energetic, enthusiastic, and team-oriented individual;
7. Exhibiting exceptional organization, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities;
8. Having Lean Six Sigma training would be considered an asset;
9. Bilingualism will be considered an asset.
