Job summary

Corner Brook Pulp and Paper Limited is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for our Woodlands Operations in Corner Brook, Newfoundland. This open pool vacancy is for current and future roles, with a requirement to work independently or in a team, and to adapt to a fast-paced woodlands environment.

Applicants should have a recognized Heavy Equipment Operator diploma, 2 years of experience, and a solid safety track record. Shifts run Monday to Friday, rotating between days and nights as needed.

Qualifications

• Heavy Equipment Operator diploma from a recognized college or training academy preferred.
• 2 years’ experience operating heavy equipment.
• Experience operating production equipment such as harvesters, forwarders, or feller bunchers preferred.
• A proven safety track record and clean drivers abstract.
• Candidates must be available to work shifts from Monday to Friday, rotating between day shifts and night shifts on a weekly basis.
• Work locations vary based on harvesting locations.

Responsibilities

We are seeking applicants for current and future vacancies in our Woodlands Operations. We are seeking candidates who can work independently and in a team environment, are self-motivated with a strong work ethic, and looking for a challenge in a fast-paced industry.
