Job summary

The Saskatchewan Abilities Council is seeking a production worker in Saskatoon to perform production duties and assist in coordinating and delivering training to program clients under the direction of the Senior Supervisor. Responsibilities include operating various production machinery, ensuring quality and safety, handling shipping/receiving, and supporting inventory counts.

Qualifications include Grade 12, and industrial/woodworking experience; forklift and WHMIS are assets.

Qualifications

Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
Industrial, mechanical or woodworking experience.
Forklift and WHMIS certifications are assets.

Responsibilities

Perform production activities and operate production machinery including mitre saws, up cut saws, table saw, air-nailers, pallet jacks, multi rip saw, banding machines and material handling equipment.
Assist in job planning, supervision and delegation of duties to area clients.
Ensure area procedures are followed to ensure product quality, production efficiency and safe working conditions.
Shipping and receiving materials.
Assist with inventory counts.
Perform production activities and operate production machinery in additional Training Centre Departments as required.
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Senior Supervisor.
