Position Overview
The Women’s Program Coordinator plays a key role in developing, implementing, and managing programs aimed at supporting women, particularly those experiencing or at risk of domestic violence. The ideal candidate is innovative, empathetic, and experienced in program coordination, community outreach, and frontline support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct client intakes and develop individualized action and safety plans
  • Provide culturally responsive support and counseling to women facing domestic violence
  • Assist clients with applications for government and community services relevant to women
  • Develop and facilitate educational workshops, outreach initiatives, and public awareness campaigns
  • Create culturally sensitive program curriculum and promotional materials
  • Maintain up-to-date content on the EHCW website and promote online toolkits for violence prevention and women's rights
  • Establish and nurture partnerships with community organizations
  • Plan, host, and evaluate community events focused on empowering women and girls
  • Compile statistics and program data for evaluation and reporting purposes
  • Coordinate, train, and support program volunteers
  • Attend community meetings and contribute to inter-agency collaboration
  • Submit program reports and updates to the Executive Director

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Social Work, Community Services, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in program coordination or frontline social service delivery
  • Experience facilitating group workshops, trainings, and community engagement events
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations and build strong community networks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (additional languages an asset)
  • Proven project management, planning, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, supportive team environment
