Job description

Introduction
The Women’s Ministry Coordinator, reporting to the Director of Women’s Ministry of Grace Toronto, is a part-time role of 5 to 10 hours per week on a 1-year contract. The successful candidate will be a gospel-centred, missional and prayerful leader. She will assist the Ministry Director in mobilizing leaders to catalyze various ministry initiatives and implement a structure of ministry that effectively disciples women at Grace Toronto Church. The ultimate goal is to help them towards becoming gospel-centred, missional, maturing disciples of Christ who glorify God in all their endeavours and enjoy Him forever. This ministry coordinator would have a heart for the city and for women living, working, and serving in a global city context.

Requirements and Competencies
The suitable candidate will meet the biblical standards of Christian character that befits a mature Christian leader, as set out in our Employee Manual and the criteria for leaders described in 1 Timothy 3:8-13.

She will be comfortable with and aligned with our system of doctrine and practice, as elucidated in the Westminster Confession of Faith and the Presbyterian Church in America Book of Church Order. Furthermore, she will be comfortable with our expression of the role of men and women in ministry and life, notably, our commitment to a humble and peaceable expression of biblical complementarianism and elder-led ecclesiology.

Specific Responsibilities

1. Event Planning:

  • Assist the Director in planning various ministry events for discipleship, missional and relational purposes
  • Responsible for coordinating and managing all of the details necessary to ensure that events run smoothly
  • Assist the Director in reviewing all events and programs annually to ensure that women’s ministry is meeting the needs of women in various stages of life at our church; collaborating with the Director in developing new events and programs

2. Administration:

  • Answer emails and correspondence related to Women’s Ministry
  • Assist the Director in planning the annual budget
  • Manage any other administrative tasks as necessary for the flourishing of the ministry

Hours and Compensation: The suitable candidate would be willing to work 5 to 10 hours per week, with the flexibility to work at church on weeknights (1-2 nights per week) and weekend (Saturday or Sunday) mornings between 8:30am-1pm as needed. This is a 1-year contract. The compensation shall be commensurate with the salary scale of ministry leadership at GTC.

Location: We offer a flexible hybrid work structure. Unless a meeting or an event requires the staff to work on-site at 383 Jarvis, she can work remotely.

Start Date: As early as June 1, 2025.
