Department: Aquatics

Availability: Monday to Sunday, various operational hours and holidays

Position Type: Seasonal

Reports To: Operations Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Load and unload guests from slides and water attractions.
  • Enforce facility rules and policies.
  • Execute the emergency action plan if required in emergency situations.
  • Monitor supply inventories and alert manager of any potential replenishment needs.
  • Provide exceptional guest service to park visitors.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Attend scheduled in-service training sessions.
  • Monitor equipment and facilities to ensure proper maintenance by reporting issues to the appropriate authority.
  • Ensure all team members comply with company values and mission.
  • Be available to work all shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings.
  • Follow all park standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the park and Operations department. Management reserves the right to modify duties as circumstances change.

This position involves exposure to weather conditions and working around water, confined spaces, heights, noise, chemicals, moving objects, fumes, dust, gases, or vibrations. The noise level is generally moderate.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Work at various water rides and shallow pools; completion of Wet ' n 'Wild Toronto training required.
  • Must be 16 years or older.
  • Current Bronze Cross or National Lifeguard Certificate is an asset.
  • Minimum Emergency First Aid and AED certification (or ability to obtain before May 1, 2025).
  • Ability to clearly communicate safety instructions.
  • Effective hearing and reaction to ride signals and codes.
  • Respond promptly to guest concerns and emergencies.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods.
  • Occasional lifting up to 60 lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This role requires working around water, confined spaces, heights, loud environments, and crowds. Ability to work in all weather conditions is essential.
