The role contributes to the broader mission and values of The Salvation Army, upholding standards of service that reflect its spiritual and social commitment to the community.ACCOUNTABILITIES: Incumbents may perform all, some, or similar range of duties as below. • Participate in and monitor client activities and well-being, offering emotional, moral, and practical support, while ensuring safety through regular status checks. • Help clients acclimate to their new environment, facilitates participation in 12-step and Step-Work programs, and models principles of recovery. • Administer prescribed medications and support follow-up on client wellness concerns, including mental health check-ins and urinalysis as required. • Accurately maintain client records, documentation of all client interactions and shift check-ins, and reports behavioral concerns to the Treatment Program team as required. • Uphold client confidentiality as per FOIP legislation and ensures clients are aware of their rights, including the grievance process. • Collaborate with volunteers to support client engagement in recreational or therapeutic activities. • Provide orientation for new clients, reinforce program rules, and ensure clients remain within designated areas of the facility. • May participate in seasonal client/program activities. • Maintain respectful and ethical relationships with clients, colleagues, in accordance with The Salvation Army policies and professional standards. • Represent the organization in a respectful and professional manner, reflecting the mission and values of The Salvation Army. • Other related duties as assigned.CRITICAL RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT: Internal: Ministry Unit leadership, staff, and volunteers.
