Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a legal setting is required.

As a CGS witness coordinator, you will be providing a variety of direct legal assistance to a federal agency. We are looking for someone who is excited to be part of an office culture centered on high-minded work and open communication.

Skills and attributes for success:

  1. Provide assistance prior to, during, and after trial including but not limited to working directly with fact witnesses, providing assistance and support to ensure appearance for court, pre-trial conferences, and grand jury.
  2. Perform administrative tasks such as receiving visitors, fielding phone calls, questions, and other inquiries from fact witnesses seeking information pertaining to their role in the case.
  3. Serve as the primary point of contact for key witnesses, notifying them of any important information related to the trial including, but not limited to, travel arrangements, appearance date/time, etc.
  4. Work collaboratively with team members on information related to witnesses such as appearances or special circumstances.
  5. Complete and submit proper documentation for special authorizations and obtain prior approval before proceeding with travel arrangements.
  6. Responsible for ensuring that all necessary documentation is provided to fact witnesses in relation to their court appearance (i.e. travel documents) and ensure it complies with agency protocol.
  7. Meet with fact witnesses upon arrival to designated hearing or pre-trial conference, offer and perform courtroom orientation, accompany witness to court, ensure a safe waiting area is available, and collect necessary documentation and signatures for important legal documents.
  8. Prepare and submit documentation for fact witness reimbursement.
  9. Perform general office procedures pertaining to fact witness management.
  10. Provides a variety of direct legal assistant support services.

Qualifications:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. Two (2) years of experience in a legal setting.
  3. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  4. Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, word processing, document management and review, file management systems, and data entry.
  5. Proficiency with office technology, including but not limited to computers, fax machines, and copier machines.
  6. Proficiency in organizational skills and the ability to independently multitask assignments.
  7. Ability to consistently deliver the highest quality work under extreme pressure.
  8. Attention to detail and the ability to read and follow directions are very important.
  9. Must be a United States Citizen.

Ideally, you will also have:

  1. Client-facing communication experience.
  2. Federal Agency issued security clearance.
