Job Description
- Responsible for radio system design and performance of GSM/UMTS/LTE and NR technology, including a strong understanding of AMOS Ericsson scripting and SC6 compliance of sites as per ISED guidelines and requirements.
- Responsible for defining site parameters in CIQ/RNDs and BTUs.
- Responsible for Health Canada SC6 analysis and reviews.
- Perform statistical analysis, automate tools, and generate reports.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders from other engineering disciplines and regulatory groups.
- Work effectively with equipment and service vendors, providing executive-level professional presentations of engineering results and recommendations.
Qualifications
Experience and Education
- Engineering undergraduate degree in Electrical/Electronics/Telecommunications or related field required.
- Work experience in wireless telecommunications industry preferred.
- Canadian Professional Engineering designation preferred.
- EGBC membership preferred.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with Planet RF tool.
- Proficiency with EMF Visual for SC6 analyses.
- Proficiency with Rogers ADM tool and Site Audit Report.
- Experience with site audits reviews for Health Canada SC6 guidelines.
- Strong understanding of radio propagation principles for wireless spectrum.
- Strong understanding of LTE/NR network parameters.
- Knowledge of Ericsson RAN and OSS systems.
- Good theoretical understanding of Tx/Rx Radio and Antenna system design.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel (VBA), MS Access, Python (or equivalent for automation) is an asset.
