Job summary

TJX Canada is seeking a Business Intelligence & Automation Analyst Co-op to leverage Power Platform tools to turn data into insights that drive efficiency and decision making. You’ll work with stakeholders to identify opportunities and develop automation solutions across our hybrid work environment.

You’ll gain hands-on experience in designing and deploying Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate solutions while aligning with TJX Canada’s standards and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing or enrolled in a post-secondary program related to CS, data science, or software engineering; or equivalent experience with Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven problem-solving capabilities with stakeholder development experience.
  • Familiarity with Power Platform components (Power Automate, Power BI, Power Apps) and related data tooling.

Responsibilities

  • Identify data and automation opportunities by analyzing processes and collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Document business requirements and translate them into automation solutions.
  • Design, develop, and deploy data and automation solutions using Power Platform and emerging technologies.

We're looking for a Business Intelligence & Automation Analyst Co-op who is passionate about data, technology, and continuous improvement. What You’ll Do
  • Identify data and automation opportunities through process improvement activity by working closely with stakeholders and understanding their pain points
  • Assist in gathering and documenting business requirements, and translate them into automation solutions that meet the needs of the business stakeholders
  • Design, develop, and deploy automation and data solutions using Power Platform Tools and other emerging technologies
  • Create automated workflows between applications using Power Automate
  • Design, develop, and implement solutions using Power Apps, focusing on user experience and performance
  • Adhere to and promote TJX internal documentation, standards, and best practices for automation deployments
  • Ensure a knowledge transfer plan is in place to support end-users and validate the solution is sustainable
  • Monitor and measure the results of implemented improvements, ensuring they deliver the desired impact
  • Stays up to date with the latest trends and developments in the fields of automation, recommending and implementing improvements when necessary
About You
  • Enrolled in post-secondary education program in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering or related field or minimum two years related experience with Microsoft Power Platforms (specifically Power Automate, Power BI and Power Apps, Power Query), Alteryx, or python
  • Familiarity with Common Data Service (CDS), connectors, gateways, and Azure
  • Solid understanding of Dataflows, Power Query, and DAX within Power BI
  • Knowledge of Agile and Lean Six Sigma (LSS) methodology
  • Strong research and analytical skills, ability to identify problems, investigates issues, discrepancies and prepare responses for anticipated questions; understands the needs of the audience when presenting information
  • Excellent business analytics skills with ability to interpret and articulate complex data findings at a high level to appropriate business partners and assimilate / present data to stakeholders
  • Excellent problem-solving skills; identifies problems and risks systematically and/or methodically while recommending potential solutions
  • Demonstrated influencing and decision-making skills; understands how and when to apply alternative approaches and flex relationship styles
  • Demonstrated collaborative relationship building skills; fosters high levels of trust and teamwork throughout the organization at all levels
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively with non-technical stakeholders
  • Good organizational development skills including time management; ability to implement and manage details, prioritize, multi-task and sometimes work under time pressure; ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Good presentation, interpersonal and communication skills; ability to read, write and interpret information accurately
  • Ability to develop and build relationships with internal and external partners, influence team members and help prioritize activities and resources to meet the organization’s needs; build rapport and credibility to be a trusted advisor
