Job summary

Marquis Snow and Ice Ltd. is seeking qualified Snow Plow Operators to join our Operations Team for snow and ice removal during the season from November through April.

Operators will use wheel loaders, tractors, sidewalk plows, and pickup trucks with plows and salters to clear snow and ice from roads, parking lots, sidewalks, and other areas as assigned. Flexibility for extended hours, nights, weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Snow plowing experience in parking lots, sidewalks, roadways, etc.
• Availability November through April to be on standby and to attend assigned snow plowing operations.
• Ability to work outdoors in various conditions including cold and snow.
• Ability to work overnight, weekends and on public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate snow plows, salt spreaders, and other snow removal equipment to clear snow and ice from roads, parking lots, sidewalks, and other areas as assigned.
• Follow designated routes and schedules to ensure timely and thorough snow removal services for our clients.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries during snow removal operations.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections of snow plows and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Apply de-icing agents such as salt or brine to surfaces to prevent ice accumulation and improve traction.
• Keep accurate records of work performed, including hours worked, routes covered, materials used, and any incidents or observations.
• Interact professionally with clients, property managers, and members of the public, addressing inquiries and concerns related to snow removal activities.
