Job summary

Ledcor Highways Ltd. is seeking winter seasonal road maintenance workers to keep Alberta highways safe. Operate snowplows and heavy equipment, perform laborer duties, and work outdoors across Alberta from Oct 1 to Apr 30 with potential for year-round roles.

Applicants should have a valid Class 1, 2 or 3 license with air endorsement, be able to lift up to 50 lbs, and pass pre-employment drug testing. Camp and meal allowances are available for non-local candidates.

Qualifications

• Successful completion pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Valid Class 1, 2 or 3 driver’s license with air endorsement.
• Clear 3-year driver’s abstract.
• Previous experience operating a snowplow truck and/or wheel loader is a strong asset, training provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, and other heavy equipment as required.
• Maintain Alberta Provincial Highways including assisting with Labourer duties (crack sealing, pothole repair, bridge and signage cleaning, hazard remediation, etc.)
• Work outside in all weather conditions
