Job summary

Agnico Eagle Mines Limited is seeking a Process Plant Maintenance Intern for the Winter 27 term. You will support maintenance program implementation, contribute to 5S/infrastructure projects, and collaborate with suppliers to gather equipment data at a Canadian mine site.

Enrolment in Mechanical Engineering is required; strong MS Office skills, project management ability, and English communication are essential. On-site accommodations and meals are provided.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Strong MS Office (Excel/PowerPoint) skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Process Plant Maintenance program implementation.
• Prepare workshops for improvement initiatives like the oil shop 5S project.
• Communicate with the supplier to gather information on the equipment.
• Participate in the development of maintenance procedures.
• Perform follow-ups on equipment performances: lubricant consumption, liner wearing monitoring.
• Participate in the development of the corrosion mitigation program.
• Support critical asset identification including piping as per P&ID review

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the Process Plant Maintenance General Supervisor, the Process Plant Maintenance Intern is part of the Process Plant Maintenance Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

Participate to the Process Plant Maintenance program implementation;

Prepare workshops for several improvement initiatives like the oil shop 5 S project;

Communicate with the supplier to gather information on the equipment;

Participate to the development of maintenance procedure;

Perform follow-ups on equipment performances: lubricant consumption, liner wearing monitoring;

Participate to the development of the corrosion mitigation program;

Support critical asset identification including piping as per P&ID review

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field;

Good skills with MS Office suite like Excel and PowerPoint;

Ability to manage several projects simultaneously;

Good analytical skills in troubleshooting

Mining experience is an asset;

Experience working in a multicultural environment is an asset;

Excellent communication skills in English, written and spoken;

Must have strong interpersonal, communication and team building skills.

Your Work Schedule:

Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest;

Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
