Job summary

Citco is seeking a Senior IT Operations specialist to advance Windows server administration, automation, and cloud deployments. You will implement and maintain core infrastructure, from AD/DNS/DHCP to clustering and HA, while contributing to DevOps through IaC with Terraform and Ansible.

The role emphasizes PowerShell scripting, Grafana dashboards, and on-call rotation, with 3–5 years in IT Operations and a Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT. Toronto area office; competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related hands-on IT infra experience.
• 3–5 years of progressive IT Operations experience.
• Strong Windows Server administration experience (2016, 2019, 2022, 2025).
• Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and file services; IIS management.
• Knowledge of clustering, HA, security hardening, and backup/recovery practices.
• Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform) and PowerShell scripting.
• Experience with Git for version control.
• AWS cloud experience (1+ year) and Grafana/Prometheus familiarity.

About The Team

As a core member of our Wintel team in IT Operations group, you will work with dedicated professionals to implement and maintain IT infrastructure components while demonstrating expertise in systems administration and automation. This role reports to the Wintel Manager.

Your Role

• The ideal candidate will contribute to our modern IT practices through infrastructure automation, cloud technologies, and efficient system management.
• Implement and maintain Windows-based infrastructure components
• Manage system configurations and updates using SCCM
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation
• Support DevOps initiatives through Infrastructure as Code implementation using Terraform and Ansible
• Monitor system performance and manage capacity planning to ensure optimal resource allocation and utilization
• Support disaster recovery and high availability implementations
• Support AWS cloud service implementations
• Manage system monitoring and alerting systems
• Design and maintain Grafana dashboards for infrastructure monitoring
• Configure and maintain monitoring metrics and alerts
• Lead medium-complexity projects
• Participate in on-call rotation
• Create and maintain technical documentation

Qualifications

About You

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related hands-on experience in the IT Infrastructure area, with a focus on Windows server and automation.
• 3-5 years of progressive experience in IT Operations
• Strong experience with Windows Server administration (2016, 2019, 2022, 2025)
• In-depth knowledge of:
  • Active Directory and Group Policy
  • DNS, DHCP, and file services
  • IIS configuration and management
  • Windows Server clustering and high availability
  • Windows Server administrative best practices and security hardening
  • Windows Server backup and recovery
• Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform)
• Advanced PowerShell scripting capabilities
• Experience with version control systems (Git)
• Experience with SCCM for system management
• 1+ years of AWS cloud platform experience
• Experience with Grafana dashboard creation and maintenance and Prometheus or other time-series databases

Salary Range

CAD $105,000 - CAD $135,000
