Apex Systems is a global IT services provider, and our consulting practice has an opening for a Windows Azure Stack Engineer.
Client: Multinational technology corporation
Terms: 18-month contract
Location: 100% Remote
Language requirement: Native French-speaking strongly preferred
Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Engineer with expertise in Azure Stack HCI, Windows Server, Hyper-V, and VMware. The successful candidate must have several years of experience with Hyper-Converged Infrastructure, Virtualization, Storage, and Networking. You will advise on architecture, consulting, and support to help customers drive solutions and resolutions
Required Skill Set
· Customer Engineer Technical skills:
o Broad knowledge of on-premises Microsoft products with deep understanding of the following:
§ Defined Networking Deployments and Configuration
§ Direct Deployments and Configuration Storage
§ Provisioning Azure ARC for Servers
§ Azure Migrate Azure Backup and Site Recovery Backup and migration tools (SCDPM, Veeam, Commvault, Carbonite, …)
Qualifications
· Technical experience with hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs, and Cloud Adoption – Well-Architected Framework.
· 8+ years’ experience with customer-facing roles in systems architecture, administration, operations, software support, IT consulting, on-premises and cloud support or consulting for enterprise and/or government customer base, and advanced troubleshooting.
· Understanding of Microsoft’s Modern IT Architecture and Strategy.
· Proven track record in successfully planning, deploying, operating, and optimizing on-premises,
· Private and Public cloud environments.
· Windows and Azure certifications - Advanced Microsoft certifications are preferred.
· Characteristics of importance include but are not limited to customer service, problem solving, communication skills, and the ability to read/interpret the needs/wants of customer executives and leaders.
· Must be a Canadian resident/citizen.
