Job summary

Integrated Power Services, LLC. is seeking a skilled Winder to join our team in Edmonton, Canada. This role involves rewinding electromechanical equipment, inspecting windings, and producing coils while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will operate winding machines, test windings to ESA standards, document results, and collaborate with field service teams to deliver reliable repair and maintenance solutions for critical infrastructure.

Qualifications

  • Journeyman Electric Motor Service Technician or apprentice with at least 2 years experience or 4 years equivalent experience.
  • High school diploma required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand or power tools.

Responsibilities

  • Test electro-mechanical equipment to troubleshoot problems and record data.
  • Test windings according to ESA standards.
  • Document data on electromagnetic characteristics and operating conditions.
  • Dismantle and strip damaged equipment and prepare parts for rewinding or repair.
  • Rewind electrical apparatus and inspect renewed parts for damage.
  • Operate winding machines and related testing equipment.
  • Perform outside field service repairs when required.
