A DAY IN THE LIFE

In this position, you’ll use your skills and experience to perform scheduled service, fault analysis/troubleshooting, and potential main component or major repairs on wind turbines. You will work at heights and in confined spaces, exposed to weather conditions. A Journeyperson/Journeyman Electrician Red Seal certification is preferred. At this site near St. Leon, MB, shifts are typically 8-10 hours, 5 days a week, with an on-call rotation for weekends. The site has a long-term contract of 10 years. Teams usually consist of 2-3 members, climbing 1-2 turbines daily, with at least 15% travel per year. There are opportunities for growth within Vestas.

• You will need a safety-focused mindset and the ability to identify solutions through process of elimination.
• Your positive attitude will contribute to teamwork, motivation, and initiative.
• You will have computer skills including email, Excel, Microsoft Office, Teams, and data entry.
• You will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with at least 1 year of wind experience or 2-3 years in mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical work.
