Job Description
The Mopar WD Account Manager will be familiar with the US automotive aftermarket, focusing on selling Mopar products to independent installers and fleets via the WD and Dealer network. The role requires full-time travel. Responsibilities include assisting Dealers in selling Mopar and BPro products to WDs for resale to installers and fleets.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Travel with Mopar warehouse distributors, wholesalers, Dealers, and WD-owned jobbers to sell and support Mopar and BPro products.
- Coordinate and communicate marketing and sales programs, including technician training, technical support, local promotions, and WD/Dealer-funded activities.
- Follow-up on sales calls and close sales as authorized by Dealers.
- Understand FCA Dealer and WD organization and aftermarket strategy.
- Submit daily sales call reports using TrackIT, including customer visits, sales results, and next steps.
- Recommend product line expansion, pricing, and market trends based on analytics and data reporting.
- Collaborate with Mopar HQ and field personnel to identify open markets.
- Maintain minimum contact frequency with WDs and dealers, log all contacts in TrackIt, and participate in meetings.
- Return emails and calls within 24 hours.
- Use provided laptops and access Mopar network and support tools.
Qualifications
- At least 7 years of experience in automotive aftermarket or wholesale parts, with FCA dealer experience preferred.
- Experience in wholesale automotive parts sales and management.
- Dealership training, coaching, and consulting experience preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Interpersonal skills with team-building abilities.
- Proficiency with PC, management systems, and Microsoft Office.
- Self-starter with minimal supervision required.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (minimum 7 years).
- Familiarity with automotive operations: manufacturer, fleet, installer, wholesale parts, dealership parts management, and aftermarket service.
- Basic understanding of auto repair and technology.
- Experience in managing and selling wholesale auto parts.
Language Skills
- Professional communication in English and other languages as required.
Computer Skills
- High proficiency in PC and MS Office applications; familiarity with Mopar/Dealer/distributor software.
Strategic Skills
- Ability to perform GAP analysis and develop action plans.
- Experience in wholesale parts business planning and marketing.
Tactical Skills
- Ability to execute training, reporting, merchandising, marketing, and product demonstrations.
Process Skills
- Proficiency in process development, mapping, evaluation, and execution.
Reasoning Ability
- Logical decision-making and solution-oriented approach.
Self-Starting Abilities
- Ability to operate independently with teamwork skills.
Additional Information
Physical Demands
- Must be able to assemble displays, deliver materials, travel extensively, and lift at least 50 lbs.
Work Environment
- Full-time position with up to 90% overnight travel. Ability to work from home.
