Organizational Description: The Canadian Cancer Society is a national community-based organization of volunteers dedicated to eradicating cancer and improving the quality of life for those affected by it.

Description of Duties:

At the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS), we are committed to improving the cancer experience by supporting individuals with cancer. Our Wheels of Hope program provides transportation for those unable to reach their treatment appointments, offering safe and supportive rides.

Wheels of Hope drivers facilitate access to critical treatments and provide a comforting presence during the journey.

Skills Required:
  • Availability to volunteer as a driver for 3 or more weekdays per month; we offer flexible scheduling based on your availability.
  • Ability to drive a reliable, smoke-free vehicle with a clean driving record (3 demerits or less).
  • Willingness to provide references and undergo a criminal record check.
  • Mileage reimbursement or tax receipt provided.
Skills Gained/Related Careers:

Open to individuals aged 18-30, 31-54, and 55+.

Time Commitment: Daytime, Flexible Hours.
