Qualifications

  • Two-year technical degree or 2+ years proven experience in wireline or coil tubing pressure control equipment.
  • Experience with Lubricators, BOPs, and grease injection systems.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting; hydraulics knowledge.
  • Experience in Coiled Tubing or Wireline is a differentiator.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain assigned equipment per maintenance program and reliability centered maintenance strategy.
  • Record materials, labor costs, and maintenance history in TLM systems.
  • Comply with Division TLM standards and document performance history.
  • Participate in continuous improvement to reduce asset downtime and improve service delivery.
  • Support CoSD projects, such as planned repair and reuse of parts.
  • Participate in failure investigations as assigned.
  • Comply with the TLM Competency Management System.

The Coil tubing and Wireline pressure control equipment trainee located in Mount Pearl, Canada is responsible for ensuring on-time delivery of equipment as per operational demands. The Maintenance Technician improves maintenance related nonproductive time ratio of the Division's assets within the Maintenance Base (MB) and improves maintenance efficiency and people productivity.

  • Maintain assigned equipment according to the pertinent maintenance program and compliant with the reliability centered maintenance strategy through adherence to the Computerized Maintenance Management System and standard work.
  • Adhere to transactional discipline within Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) business systems to record materials and supplies, labor costs and equipment maintenance performance history such as movements, work orders, parts used and time to maintain.
  • Comply with Division TLM standards.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement culture, initiatives and improvement plans within the MB to improve asset utilization and cost of service delivery (CoSD).
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts to improve asset turnaround time, which includes reducing downtime due to maintenance, parts and return authorization numbers, failures and work-in-process.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to improve the efficiency and productivity of Maintenance Technicians.
  • Implement CoSD projects, such as the planned repair and reuse of parts.
  • Participate in failure investigations as assigned.
  • Comply with the TLM Competency Management System
Qualifications And Experience
  • Two-year technical degree or +2 years of proven experience in wireline or coil tubing pressure control equipment.
  • Experience in Lubricators, BOP's, grease injectoion.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience in Hydraulics.
  • Previous Coiled Tubing or Wireline experience is a differentiator.
  • Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in Canada, without sponsorship.
