Role
WFH French Bilingual Tax Advisor — Victoria, British Columbia, Canada
Responsibilities
- Help clients fill out their income tax returns using Intuit TurboTax products; provide tax guidance; review personal tax returns for customers completing their tax returns themselves; prepare complete returns and manage product / software inquiries to accelerate Prosperity.
- Use government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to search for and deliver the right answer to the customer in clear terms.
- As a virtual, customer-facing role, use our video communication software to interact with customers and document interactions to maintain accurate records.
- Provide bilingual tax expertise (French and English) and deliver real-time guidance on a range of tax matters to clients across Canada.
- Be willing to work a flexible schedule with a minimum of 20 hours per week.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and professionally, warmly, and confidently engage with customers via video and audio tools.
Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of paid professional tax preparation experience.
- Experience using professional tax software to prepare and file personal tax returns, including complex elements such as employment, self-employment, rental income, investments, forms like T1135, foreign income, and various credits / deductions.
- Ability to provide CRA RepID (representative identifier) during onboarding for Represent a Client service.
- Experience preparing tax returns with complex elements (employment, self-employment, rental income, investments, foreign income, T1135, etc.).
- Strong customer service skills and comfort interacting with customers via video / audio tools in a professional, friendly, and confident manner.
- Proficiency in both English and French; bilingual Seasonal French Bilingual Tax Advisor role.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule; minimum 20 hours per week.
Additional Qualifications
- Experience preparing corporate (T2) returns.
- Experience preparing Quebec (TP1) returns.

- Effective written and verbal communication; active listening to understand customer needs.

- Technical acumen and comfort with tools needed for the role.
